What is Experiment #27?
Dr. Dominic Vex chose squirrels for Experiment #27 — his final bid to fuse selected human traits into an animal and forge extraordinary intelligence. He forgot one critical compound. The subjects grew too clever to control, the lab's containment failed, and they escaped into the woods. They are the Squikies: learning, organizing, and planning their next move. Experiment #27 was supposed to create the perfect animal. Instead, it created something humanity may not be able to stop.
The experiment
Dr. Dominic Vex spent 26 attempts fusing human traits into animals. Experiment #27 chose squirrels — curious, adaptable, and quick to learn.
The mistake
A control compound had to be added to keep the subjects in check during mutation. Dr. Vex forgot. Their intelligence and aggression spiked beyond reach.
The escape
Containment failed. The specimens broke into the woods and became the Squikies — learning, organizing, and planning their next move.
